Anemia in Chronic Kidney Disease
New Avenues to Improve Patient Outcomes
Target Audience
The educational design of this activity addresses the needs of nephrologists, cardiologists, hematologists, endocrinologists, internal medicine physicians, and other clinicians involved in the management of patients with anemia associated with chronic kidney disease (CKD).
Program Overview
This series of four 15-minute CME Snapshot™ activities on anemia associated with CKD will provide clinicians with the latest information and research on the burden of disease in patients (including health-related quality of life and health care resource utilization); pathophysiology; the interplay of cardiovascular disease, renal disease, and patient-reported outcomes; and clinical management using hypoxia-inducible factor prolyl hydroxylase (HIF-PH) inhibitors. During the video-based curriculum, expert faculty, which includes 2 nephrologists, a cardiologist, and an internal medicine/hospitalist, delineate current and potential treatment approaches, such as strategies to address health disparities in this patient population.
This activity is jointly provided by Global Education Group and Integritas Communications.
This educational activity is supported by an educational grant from GlaxoSmithKline.
