Target Audience
The educational design of this activity addresses the needs of HIV specialists (MDs, NPs, PAs, and pharmacists) involved in the treatment of patients with HIV.
Program Overview
With recent approval of 2 long-acting injectable (LAI) antiretroviral therapy (ART) options, clinics must be prepared to establish protocols to administer these options. There are numerous considerations for protocols, including multidisciplinary care team establishment and member role definition, patient eligibility, patient and medication tracking, patient education, and staff training. In this episode, Drs. Onyema Ogbuagu and William Short discuss nuances of protocols and patient eligibility for LAI ART.
