Program Overview

This conference coverage activity reviews the latest evidence for CELMoDs for the treatment of multiple myeloma, highlighting recently presented efficacy and safety findings from the 2026 SOHO and IMS meetings. With a recent FDA approval for iberdomide, and with mezigdomide under investigation in late-stage clinical trials, clinicians need to stay up to date on how to consider these agents for potential use in multiple myeloma treatment. In the concluding discussion, multiple myeloma expert Dr. Nisha Joseph and community hematologist/oncologist Dr. Samantha Shams explore how CELMoDs may influence treatment sequencing and discuss the practical implications of an expanding treatment landscape for community oncology practice.

Target Audience

This educational series is intended to provide continuing medical education (CME)/continuing education (CE) to health care clinicians involved in the treatment of hematologic malignancies, especially multiple myeloma (MM), including medical oncologists, hematologists, hematology/oncology (hem/onc) fellows, and advanced practice providers (APPs).

Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be better prepared to:

  1. Review the most recent clinical trial data on FDA-approved and emerging treatments for multiple myeloma (MM), such as the novel CELMoD treatments, emerging from recent hematology/oncology conferences
  2. Describe where novel CELMoD therapies would fit into future treatment algorithms for MM
  3. Identify strategies for incorporating FDA-approved and emerging CELMoD therapy into personalized medicine approaches in MM, based on the latest clinical data and potential future FDA approval
