Target Audience

This multimedia program addresses identified knowledge and practice gaps among dermatology specialist physicians (MDs), nurse practitioners (NPs), and physician associates (PAs), while also encouraging changes in their clinical practice behaviors

Program Overview

Psoriasis affects approximately 3% of US adults, yet more than half of patients with moderate to severe disease remain undertreated, often managed with topical therapy alone despite qualifying for systemic treatment. This CME Circuit Training™ program addresses critical gaps in identifying candidates for oral therapy, understanding the clinical profiles and trial data for newly approved oral targeted agents, and tailoring treatment regimens through shared decision-making. Through 4 focused workout stations featuring case-based learning, expert faculty discussion, and practical decision support tools, clinicians will build the knowledge and skills needed to clear the bar for treating their patients with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis with oral targeted therapies.

Educational Objectives

After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

  1. Identify adult and adolescent patients with psoriasis who are candidates for systemic therapy
  2. Discuss the clinical rationale, trial results, and prescribing considerations for new oral targeted therapies for moderate to severe plaque psoriasis
  3. Tailor treatment regimens for adult and adolescent patients with moderate to severe psoriasis based on disease presentation, therapeutic goals, treatment responses, and shared decision making
