Program Overview

Long-acting injectable (LAI) preexposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and antiretroviral therapy (ART) have transformed HIV prevention and care in the last several years, requiring clinicians to adjust decision-making practices and clinic protocols to provide and increase accessibility to these therapies.  In this Interactive Showcase CME symposium, learners will review the latest LAI PrEP or ART data, appropriate clinical application, and optimal LAI clinic protocols with Drs. Paul Sax, Monica Gandhi, and Meredith Clement. Take a walk through our narrated LAI PrEP and ART poster gallery; hear faculty discuss nuances of LAI PrEP and ART use in clinical practice; and make decisions in a clinical case series. Learners will leave with a greater understanding of patient selection, approaches to unique clinical scenarios, and options to improve workflow protocols around LAI PrEP and ART.

Target Audience

The educational design of this activity addresses the needs of infectious disease and HIV medicine MDs, NPs, PAs, and nurses who care for patients with HIV.
