The American Urological Association Symptom Index is used to evaluate the severity of symptoms associated with lower urinary tract symptoms. Urinary symptom scores of 1-7 suggest mild symptoms, 9-19 indicate moderate symptoms, and 20-35 denote severe symptoms.
